Musical Debut

You know how once in a while life gets so hectic you just don't know what direction you're running in? This past week has been one of those but tonight life slowed down and reminded me just how fantastic it is to be a mom! Our family was able to enjoy a first - Adrianna's very first band concert entitled 'A Work In Progress Concert'.

The band consists of grade 6 and 7's from 12 elementary schools in the district. The band teacher goes to each school twice a week for music lessons and tonight was the very first time that they've taken those lessons (since September) and met together as a whole group to perform to us proud parents!

The band is so large we couldn't quite get them all into one shot from our seats.

Eli-ism

Eli told me today that he's 1/2 man. What? Yes, because he's 9, which means he's 1/2 boy and 1/2 man!!

Beautiful Jericho Beach

It's not often that we're all home on a Saturday and so we made sure we took advantage of it! Loaded all up with coats, boots, buckets, umbrellas, water and lunch we headed to a beach. We started this little adventure not knowing what beach just one that was in Vancouver and so with the GPS guiding us we ended up at Jericho Beach (I remember passing this beach when I participated in the Weekend to End Breast Cancer a couple years ago).

Breathtaking isn't it?!

Of course we just had to venture into all those tall buildings but more specifically to Robson Street - a first for the kids. I loved it, Les tolerated it and the kids got a little overwhelmed. SO much to see!
