We like to be different!!

The pumpkin carving was done by our Japanese Exchange, Mr. Minoru Akagi.....pretty impressive for a 1st time even with the upside down look.  The watermelon carving was completed by Eli.

Pictures Forgotten - Oops!

The horrible mother that I am did not get a picture of Adrianna the cat or Eli the werewolf.  Oops!!  I did however get a picture of the pumpkins they carved and designed (all on their own) AND we did roast the pumpkin seeds from said pumpkins with sugar and cinnamon.  Mmmm good!

Halloween 2010

If Halloween never came I would be just fine with that BUT when you live in a home with children it's just not possible!

Tonight we took part in our wards Halloween Party at the church where there was trick or treating, crafts and activities.

Happy Hallowe'en!!

What a busy Hallowe'en! The kids have never been dressed up so many times and attended so many activities but they had a blast!!

Les and I even dressed up for a Hallowe'en party, which made us almost not go (we're not fans of dressing up) BUT sometimes we just have to do things we don't want to do and the kids would have been so disappointed.

We would have carved more pumpkins but apparently we weren't very successful on our pumpkin picking because two of them turned to mush before we could carve them.

Trick or Treat Smell My Feet......

I'm not a huge Halloween fan but of course the kids get soooo excited about it that I needed to make sure my scroogeness was not so obvious. This year I decided to carve the pumpkins (usually Les is in charge of this) but of course do you think I could go with easy?! I asked the kids what they wanted and then searched for it on the internet and what do you know in minutes I had patterns printed out and ready to go.

Eli wanted scooby doo but I had to shrink the pattern because his pumpkin was too small not realizing how much more difficult this would be! Poor scooby has a few toothpicks holding him together but all in all Eli was exstatic so it was a huge success!Adrianna's pumpkin was a lot easier to work with, which made the outcome so much better. Again, a huge success in the eyes of a child!!
We can't forget the two munchkins in their costumes!
