Beginner Adult Concert Band Year-End

Hard to believe our year of playing in the Maple Ridge Beginner Adult Band has come to an end.  Admittedly very hesitant at first to embark on this new endeavour I'm actually looking forward to us stepping up into the intermediate level in September.  It really has been an enjoyable year meeting new people, learning a new instrument and adventuring into this with Les and my sister.

We had our year end concert performance last night (our only performance this year).  The first time for me to perform outside and boy was it cold!  You never would have guessed that it was the end of June and NOT the end of October.

I'm guessing due to the rainy, cold weather our audience was minimal.  A huge thank you to the Kenyon family for braving the cold and watching our performance, we greatly appreciated your support!  And of course our children who have listened to us practice, watched us head out the door for our weekly practice and sat in the freezing cold to watch us.  Gee.... doesn't sound much different then what we're doing for them!     Isn't that what a family is all about?  Supporting and encouraging each!

I circled our heads just in case you couldn't figure out where we were!  To the far front left  my sister Tricia with the double french horn.  To the far  top right Les with the stand up bass and myself with the oboe.
